I have spent a lifetime on the periphery of art. I was always interested in cartography, geography, history and art and commenced working in the Hydrographic Department on naval charts. Eyesight problems put an end to this career but a continuing interest in restoration of Antiquarian maps and prints grew into a lucrative practice throughout the South West of England.
My work is politically, economically and emotionally driven and has been realised in various media am interested in the symbiotic relationship between man and nature, the effects of globalisation and its damage caused when it is left unrestrained. Also any field of work where there is ambiguity, where the whole is other than the sum of the parts, holds interest for me.
